Where it came from
The Jake from State Farm Funko Pop, numbered 228 in the Ad Icons series, was released to commemorate the character’s evolution into a prominent advertising figure for the insurance company. The character originally debuted in a 2011 television commercial, portraying an unassuming representative taking a late-night customer call. Due to the campaign's unexpected viral success, the character became a cornerstone of State Farm's branding, leading to a 2020 soft reboot where the role was recast with actor Kevin Miles to reflect a more dynamic, brand-ambassador persona.
Designed in the signature Funko aesthetic, the figure depicts the character in his iconic red polo shirt and khakis, complete with a name tag. This piece belongs to the Ad Icons line, a popular segment of the Pop! brand that reimagines real-world corporate mascots and advertising figures as collectible vinyl toys. The release was received as a lighthearted nod to modern pop-culture marketing, appealing to both collectors of corporate memorabilia and fans of the long-running commercial series.
