Jetfire

Jetfire was released by Funko as part of their Pop! Retro Toys series, bearing the collection number 35. This figure commemorates the character's origins in the 1980s Transformers franchise, a brand born from a collaboration between Hasbro and Takara that merged Japanese mecha toy designs with a global narrative of warring robots. The character of Jetfire occupies a unique space in Transformers lore, famously originating from the Macross VF-1S Super Valkyrie mold, which led to distinct visual differences between his original toy design and the animated series depiction.

The Funko Pop design reflects the signature aesthetic of the line, characterized by a stylized, oversized head and simplified, rounded features. In capturing Jetfire, designers focused on the iconic red and white color scheme and the distinctive aerodynamically inspired silhouette of the original G1 figure. Upon release, the figure was received primarily by fans of both the Transformers legacy and the broader Pop! collecting community, serving as a nostalgic nod to the early years of the toy line.
