Where it came from
Released in 2020 as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line, this figure captures John McClane from the 1988 action classic Die Hard. The design intentionally depicts the character in his iconic disheveled state, complete with a bloodied face and undershirt, reflecting the grueling endurance test McClane faces throughout the film at Nakatomi Plaza.
This specific variant was produced as a retail exclusive for Walmart, identifiable by its number 1007 in the series. The aesthetic direction prioritizes the weathered, gritty appearance associated with the character's cinematic climax, a common stylistic choice in Funko's approach to action-oriented characters to differentiate them from standard releases.
