Where it came from
Jurota Shishida, known as the hero Gevaudan, is a character from the popular manga and anime series My Hero Academia. Introduced as a student in Class 1-B at U.A. High School, his quirk, Beast, allows him to transform into a formidable, large-statured creature. Funko released this figure as part of the Pop! Animation line under number 1236, specifically capturing his transformation state to reflect his role in the Joint Training Arc.
The figure was designed to represent the distinctive aesthetic of the U.A. student roster, focusing on Shishida's hulking frame and signature hero costume. As part of a widespread expansion of the My Hero Academia franchise into the collectibles market, the figure was produced to appeal to fans of the series' diverse character designs. It maintains the standard stylized, large-headed aesthetic characteristic of the Funko brand while translating the character's intricate, bestial design into a compact vinyl form.
