King Daredevil

King Daredevil, numbered 1292 in the Funko Pop! Marvel line, was released to coincide with the character's heightened prominence during Chip Zdarsky’s acclaimed run on the Daredevil comic series. In this storyline, Matt Murdock assumes a leadership role within the Hand, donning a regal, armor-clad version of his traditional suit to reflect his new status as a tactical commander. This Pop figure serves as a visual homage to that specific narrative arc, capturing the character in his distinctive red and gold kingly attire.

The design of the figure leans into the bold, simplified aesthetic characteristic of the modern Funko Pop! Marvel collection. It emphasizes the clean lines of the comic-accurate armor and the unique aesthetic details of the 'King' iteration, such as the gilded accents and the structured cowl. Upon its release, it was well-received by collectors who follow the progression of Marvel comic-based figures, serving as a dedicated representation of a significant, if brief, shift in Daredevil’s long-standing lore.
