Kirito (Blue Swords)

Released as part of the Pop! Animation line, this figure depicts Kirito, the protagonist of the Japanese light novel and anime series Sword Art Online. The figure was produced to coincide with the growing international popularity of the franchise, which centers on players trapped in a virtual reality massively multiplayer online role-playing game. It represents Kirito in his iconic dark attire, wielding the distinct dual blades that define his combat style within the Aincrad arc of the series.

The design follows Funko’s standardized aesthetic, translating the character’s sharp, anime-inspired features into the recognizable oversized head and simplified body shape characteristic of the Pop! brand. As the 82nd entry in the Animation series, it was aimed at both casual anime viewers and dedicated collectors of SAO merchandise. Upon its release, it became a staple for fans looking to commemorate the series, reflecting the character’s evolution from a solitary gamer into a central figure in the virtual world’s struggle for survival.
