Namaari

Namaari was released as part of the Funko Pop! Disney line in 2021 to coincide with the premiere of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Raya and the Last Dragon. As the complex antagonist and eventual ally to the titular protagonist, Namaari represents the film's central theme of fractured trust and reconciliation. The figure was produced to capture her distinct warrior aesthetic, featuring her signature short hair and the specialized weaponry used by the people of the Fang land.

The design of this Pop! figure draws directly from the character development work overseen by the film’s directors and art team, who aimed to reflect the Southeast Asian influences integral to the story. By utilizing the classic oversized-head, minimalist-body aesthetic characteristic of the Funko brand, the piece aims to translate the character's fierce presence into a stylized collectible format.
