Where it came from
Naraku was released as part of the Pop! Animation line, capturing the primary antagonist of the long-running Inuyasha franchise. Produced by Funko, this figure was designed to translate the character's intricate, flowing design and malevolent aura into the stylized, large-headed aesthetic characteristic of the brand. It draws directly from the classic manga and anime series created by Rumiko Takahashi, which blends traditional Japanese folklore with modern fantasy elements.
The figure represents a significant addition to the Inuyasha collection, focusing on the series' central shapeshifter and manipulator. Designers focused on replicating his signature baboon pelt cloak and his cold, calculating expression, elements that define his visual presence throughout the show. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the series who had long sought a representation of the arch-villain to accompany the existing figures of Inuyasha, Kagome, and Sesshomaru.
