Where it came from
Nux, numbered 512 in the Pop! Movies series, was released to coincide with the 2015 theatrical run of George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road. As a key character in the film’s high-octane aesthetic, the figure reflects the franchise's post-apocalyptic visual language, specifically capturing Nux's distinct war-boy appearance, complete with his steering wheel emblem and goggles. The design leans into the exaggerated, stylized caricature that defines the Funko aesthetic, intended to provide fans with a tangible memento of the film's gritty, chrome-obsessed world.
The figure was produced during a period when Funko was aggressively expanding its licensing reach into modern action cinema. Like many figures in the Pop! Movies line, the sculpting process focused on distilling the character's most recognizable traits, such as his pale complexion and rugged attire, into the signature large-eyed, vinyl form factor. Upon release, it was well-received by collectors for its attention to the film's specific color palette and the inclusion of the character's unique cinematic silhouette.
