Where it came from
Present Mic, the boisterous Pro Hero and teacher from the My Hero Academia franchise, was immortalized as Funko Pop number 920 in the Animation line. Released as part of a wave dedicated to the faculty of U.A. High School, this figure captures the character's signature look, including his iconic pompadour and the directional speaker collar integrated into his hero costume. The design focuses on his high-energy persona, reflecting the aesthetic established by Kohei Horikoshi’s original manga and the subsequent Studio Bones anime adaptation.
The figure serves as a collectible tribute to Hizashi Yamada, a fan-favorite character known for his Quirk, Voice, which allows him to amplify his volume to superhuman levels. Like other figures in the My Hero Academia series, this design follows Funko’s standardized vinyl format while incorporating specific character details such as his leather jacket and goggles. Upon release, it was well-received by fans of the series who sought to expand their collections beyond the primary students of Class 1-A to include the faculty members.
