Sam [Black Light]

Released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line, this figure captures the character Sam from the 2007 cult horror anthology film Trick 'r Treat. Produced to coincide with the film's enduring status as a Halloween staple, the figure depicts Sam in his iconic burlap sack mask, modified here with a specialized black light-reactive finish that causes the piece to glow vividly under ultraviolet illumination.

The design draws directly from Michael Dougherty’s directorial vision of Sam as the personification of Halloween traditions. Funko’s creative team maintained the characteristic oversized head and simplified proportions typical of the Pop! aesthetic while incorporating unique pigments to lean into the supernatural, eerie atmosphere of the film. Upon its release, it was well-received by horror collectors who appreciated the thematic alignment between the character's mysterious nature and the novelty of the glowing effect.
