Where it came from
The Sandtrooper Pop! figure, designated as number 322 in the Star Wars series, was released by Funko to coincide with the 40th anniversary celebrations of the original Star Wars trilogy. It represents the specialized desert-dwelling infantry units of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps, identifiable by their distinct weathered armor and orange pauldron, which signifies squad leadership.
The design follows Funko’s established aesthetic, featuring the oversized head and stylized facial features characteristic of the vinyl figure line. It was conceived as a complement to the broader collection of troopers and bounty hunters, aiming to offer collectors a high-detail representation of the background characters featured in the Tatooine sequences of A New Hope.
