Where it came from
The Savini Jason figure was produced as a highly exclusive variant within the Funko Pop! Games line, specifically tied to the 2017 asymmetrical survival horror game Friday the 13th: The Game. The design depicts the character Jason Voorhees as envisioned by legendary special effects artist Tom Savini, who consulted on the game's development to create a unique, hellish interpretation of the slasher icon that appeared as a special downloadable skin for players.
The figure features a distinct aesthetic, characterized by an orange glow and a weapon design that deviates from the traditional hockey mask-clad antagonist. It was released to commemorate the game's release and its collaboration with Savini, serving as a rare piece of memorabilia for horror enthusiasts. Its release was limited and managed through official channels, quickly becoming a sought-after item for collectors of both gaming merchandise and horror cinema artifacts.
