Where it came from
Scary Terry, a parody character from the Rick and Morty animated series, was introduced in the 2014 episode 'Lawnmower Dog'. Designed as a satirical take on horror icons like Freddy Krueger, he features retractable bladed fingers and a penchant for unsettling catchphrases. This particular Funko Pop figure captures him in his iconic 'no pants' look, reflecting the show's hallmark blend of crude humor and pop culture deconstruction.
The figure, numbered 344 within the Pop! Animation line, was released to coincide with the widespread merchandising expansion of the Adult Swim franchise. Funko's designers focused on replicating Terry's distinct oversized head and menacing yet comedic expression, ensuring the aesthetic remained consistent with the simplified, stylized vinyl standards of the series. Upon its release, it became a recognized piece for fans of the show's dark, surreal brand of science fiction.
