Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Drag Queens series, this figure commemorates Shangela Laquifa Wadley, a prominent drag performer and three-time contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race. The figure was produced to celebrate the intersection of popular drag culture and collectible pop iconography, capturing Shangela's recognizable performance aesthetic and personality within the distinctive Funko design language.
The figure features the characteristic oversized head and simplified proportions typical of the Pop! line, designed to reflect specific elements of drag artistry. As part of a series that brought various renowned drag artists into the vinyl figure format, it was met with enthusiasm from the show's dedicated fan base as a tangible celebration of the performer's influence and legacy within the competitive reality television landscape.
