Shang-Chi

This vinyl figure was produced by Funko as part of the Pop! Marvel line to coincide with the 2021 release of the Marvel Studios film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The figure captures the titular character, portrayed by Simu Liu, wearing his iconic red and black combat suit from the film's climax, holding his staff in a classic hero pose. It was designed to capitalize on the introduction of a new leading protagonist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appealing to both collectors of the broader Marvel line and fans of the film's martial arts-inspired aesthetic.

The design follows Funko's signature stylized aesthetic, featuring an oversized head and simplified facial features while prioritizing key costume details such as the intricate patterns on the chest and the character's focused expression. As part of the wider wave of figures dedicated to the film, it serves as a commemorative piece intended for mass-market retail. Upon release, it was received as a standard entry in the extensive Pop! Marvel catalog, recognized primarily for its role in expanding the character roster of the franchise rather than for unconventional manufacturing or design techniques.
