Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Animation line, this 10-inch supersized figure depicts Shenron, the wish-granting eternal dragon from the Dragon Ball Z franchise. It was designed to capture the imposing scale of the character, incorporating a metallic finish and glow-in-the-dark properties to simulate the dragon's mystical aura. The production reflects Funko's strategy of creating larger, premium variants for iconic characters within long-running anime series.
The figure draws its aesthetic directly from Akira Toriyama's character designs, emphasizing Shenron's serpentine form and distinct horned features. As a specialized variant, the metallic and glow-in-the-dark application was intended to appeal to collectors seeking a more dynamic shelf presence compared to standard-sized releases. It has been well-received among Dragon Ball fans for its substantial physical presence and successful translation of the source material's visual identity.
