Where it came from
Sheriff Woody holding Forky, designated as number 535 in the Pop! Disney line, was produced by Funko to coincide with the 2019 theatrical release of Pixar’s Toy Story 4. The figure captures a pivotal moment from the film, depicting the series’ long-standing protagonist, Woody, alongside Forky, a neurotic craft-project-turned-toy who serves as the emotional catalyst for the movie's narrative arc. This release was part of a larger collection of merchandise intended to introduce new characters to the franchise while celebrating the enduring legacy of the original cast.
The design follows Funko’s signature aesthetic, featuring the oversized, stylized head and simplified features characteristic of the Pop! vinyl range. The sculptors aimed to translate the distinct visual cues of both characters into a compact, collectible form, focusing on Woody’s iconic badge and vest alongside Forky’s mismatched googly eyes and pipe-cleaner arms. Upon its release, the figure was widely distributed through major retailers, catering to both completionist collectors of the Disney series and fans of the Toy Story franchise looking for a tangible memento of the fourth installment.
