Shredder

The Shredder Pop! vinyl figure, numbered 65 in the Pop! Television line, was produced by Funko as part of their initial expansion into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. Released during the height of the early 2010s craze for stylized pop-culture collectibles, this figure represents the character as he appeared in the classic 1987 animated series. The design captures the iconic villain’s sharp-edged armor and metallic aesthetic, distilled into Funko’s signature oversized head and simplified, de-featured body proportions.

This figure was designed to appeal to both modern collectors and those nostalgic for the original Nickelodeon and Mirage Studios iterations of the Turtles. By focusing on the character's recognizable silhouette—specifically his spiked helmet and blade-adorned gauntlets—the designers aimed to maintain Shredder’s menacing presence despite the inherently cute nature of the Pop! format. It remains a foundational piece for fans of the line, marking a significant entry in the early wave of licensed television figures that helped cement the brand's cultural ubiquity.
