Shredder (Comics)

Shredder, the iconic antagonist of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, made his first appearance in the original Mirage Studios comic books in 1984. Created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the character was designed as a dark, lethal foil to the turtles, famously serving as the catalyst for their mutation and the central conflict in the group's early narrative. As a quintessential comic book villain, he represents the gritty, independent comic aesthetic of the 1980s.

This Funko Pop! figure, numbered 35 in the Comics line, draws its visual inspiration from this source material rather than the various animated series. The design emphasizes his signature spiked armor and metal mask, aiming to translate his intimidating comic-book silhouette into the stylized, chibi-like proportions characteristic of the Pop! brand. Upon its release, the figure became a staple for collectors of both the franchise and the broader Pop! Comics series, appreciated for its fidelity to the original character design.
