Sike-O-Shriner (Glow in the Dark)

The Sike-O-Shriner is a character from the Spastik Plastik line, a collection of original vinyl figures created by Funko. Originating from Funko's early days, these characters were designed by Carlos East and Eddy Ybarra of the design studio Sket-One and the broader creative team, who sought to tap into a distinct, slightly edgy aesthetic that diverged from the company's later focus on licensed intellectual property. The line was inspired by underground art toys and urban vinyl culture of the early 2000s, reflecting a desire to establish an independent brand identity through quirky, retro-influenced designs.

The Glow in the Dark version of the Sike-O-Shriner, cataloged as Pop number 5, serves as a variant of the original sculpt. It was produced for collectors who appreciated the mid-century carnival and sideshow-inspired visuals that defined the Spastik Plastik aesthetic. While the line was initially produced in limited quantities during the company's formative years, the characters eventually gained a cult following among long-term collectors, leading Funko to revisit and re-release several figures from this series as part of its modern Pop catalog to honor its roots.
