Where it came from
Sigma, assigned the number 932 within the Pop! Games series, was released to coincide with the launch and promotional cycle of Overwatch 2. As a character central to the narrative expansion of the Blizzard Entertainment franchise, the figure represents the high-concept visual design of the gravity-manipulating antagonist, Dr. Siebren de Kuiper. The figure captures his signature aesthetic, characterized by his flowing, tattered attire and the clinical, fragmented look that reflects his fractured psyche within the game’s lore.
The design process for this Funko Pop! iteration focused on translating Sigma's complex, asymmetrical silhouette into the standard stylized vinyl format. Funko’s design team prioritized the character's unique floating posture and his dual-colored armor plates, which were key features established in his initial Overwatch debut. Upon release, the figure was generally well-received by the gaming community as an accurate representation of a fan-favorite 'tank' hero, serving as a staple piece for collectors focused on modern competitive shooter franchises.
