Skeeter

Skeeter Valentine is a figure from the Funko Pop! Disney line, released as part of the collection celebrating the 1990s Nickelodeon animated series Doug. The character, known for his signature blue skin and lighthearted nature, was created by Jim Jinkins as the best friend of the show's protagonist. The figure captures Skeeter's iconic style, including his yellow vest and backward baseball cap, reflecting the distinct, minimalist aesthetic of Jinkins' original character designs.

The Funko interpretation of the Doug cast aimed to capitalize on the nostalgia surrounding 90s Nicktoons. By stripping the character down to the signature Funko silhouette—a large, squared-off head and simplified facial features—the design team sought to translate the hand-drawn 2D animation style into a 3D collectible format. The release was well-received by fans of the series who valued the opportunity to own physical representations of a show that defined a significant era of children's television programming.
