Where it came from
The Smarty Weasel Funko Pop figure, numbered 106 in the Disney series, was released to commemorate the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. It represents the leader of the Toon Patrol, an antagonistic group of weasels employed by Judge Doom. The figure captures the character's signature look, including his bowler hat and cigar, reflecting the film's unique blend of live-action noir and traditional hand-drawn animation.
Funko designed this piece as part of a broader push to expand their Disney line beyond classic characters, targeting fans of 80s cult cinema. The design aesthetic adheres to the company's trademark stylized vinyl look, utilizing the standard Pop template while incorporating the specific, cynical personality traits of the animated weasel. Upon release, it served as a collectible for enthusiasts of the film's complex production history and its legacy in animation techniques.
