Where it came from
Snowman Jack, designated as Pop! number 1417, was released by Funko as part of the extensive Disney Pop! collection. This specific iteration depicts the protagonist of Tim Burton's 1993 stop-motion classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas, dressed as the snowman version of himself that appears during the film's iconic 'What's This?' sequence. It was produced as a D.I.Y. variant, which is characterized by a stark, monochromatic aesthetic intended to encourage customization and artistic expression by the collector.
The design draws directly from the whimsical yet macabre visual language established by Henry Selick and Tim Burton. By opting for a plain white finish, Funko shifted the focus from mass-produced detail to individual creativity, allowing fans to paint or embellish the figure to reflect their own interpretation of the character. As a retail exclusive for Walmart, it reflects a broader strategy of providing accessible, entry-level collectibles that cater to both casual fans of the franchise and the dedicated customization community within the Funko hobby.
