Where it came from
The Songbird Pop! figure was released as part of the Funko Pop! Games line to commemorate the 2013 video game BioShock Infinite. As a centerpiece of the game's world-building, the character serves as a menacing, mechanical guardian to Elizabeth Comstock, and this figure was designed to translate its intimidating, bird-like aesthetic into the signature stylized proportions of the Pop! brand.
The design highlights the character's complex avian anatomy, featuring prominent wing detailing and the iconic glowing red eyes that signify its presence in the game. It was received favorably by collectors for its status as a 'Super-Sized' Pop! figure, which allowed Funko to capture a level of scale and intricacy that standard-sized vinyl figures often lacked, firmly establishing it as a staple for fans of the Irrational Games franchise.
