Where it came from
The Splash Mountain Pop! Rides figure was released by Funko as part of their Disney line, specifically honoring the iconic log flume attraction that debuted at Disneyland in 1989. The attraction was designed by Imagineer Tony Baxter, drawing inspiration from the film Song of the South, and became a central piece of park lore for its immersive storytelling and daring final drop. This collectible features a stylized vinyl figure of Br'er Rabbit seated within one of the ride's characteristic log vehicles, capturing the nostalgic aesthetic of the park experience.
Funko designed this piece to appeal to Disney park enthusiasts, utilizing their signature oversized-head aesthetic to translate the attraction's personality into a shelf-ready format. The figure is numbered 47 in the Pop! Rides series, which is dedicated to iconic vehicles from film, television, and theme park history. Upon its release, it was met with strong interest from the collecting community due to its association with the controversial but historically significant attraction, which has since been re-themed by Disney in favor of the Princess and the Frog narrative.
