Splinter

Splinter, the wise sensei and adoptive father of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, was released as figure number 1613 within Funko's Pop! Television line. This specific iteration is part of a broader series celebrating the classic 1987 animated television show, which served as a cultural phenomenon that introduced the world to the crime-fighting quartet and their mentor. The design follows the stylized aesthetic established by Funko, featuring the character's characteristic hunched posture, tattered robes, and long whiskers, aiming to capture the essence of the master rat while adhering to the brand's signature oversized head and simplified bodily proportions.

The figure was produced to cater to the enduring nostalgia surrounding the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, which has seen several waves of resurgence since its debut in the late 1980s. Like other releases in the Pop! Television series, this item was designed to appeal to both long-term fans of the source material and modern collectors of vinyl figures. Upon its launch, it was received as a straightforward addition to the franchise's extensive toy lineage, serving as a companion piece for those aiming to complete a set of the main characters from the iconic series.
