Where it came from
Released as a celebratory piece for the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back, this 10-inch Stormtrooper figure was produced by Funko as a convention-exclusive variant. It captures the iconic aesthetic of the Imperial soldier, scaled up significantly from the standard 3.75-inch format to emphasize the character's presence as a staple of the Star Wars franchise.
The design draws directly from the classic Ralph McQuarrie-inspired aesthetic that defined the original trilogy. By upscaling the figure, Funko intended to provide collectors with a more detailed display piece that highlights the uniform's stark white geometry. The piece was received by the community as a premium addition to the Star Wars Pop! line, appealing to those seeking substantial, centerpiece-style items rather than traditional desk-sized collectibles.
