Sub-Zero

Sub-Zero is a foundational character from the Mortal Kombat franchise, first appearing in the original 1992 arcade game developed by Midway Games. As a master of cryomancy and a member of the Lin Kuei clan, the character became a pop culture icon defined by his signature blue ninja attire and his role as the arch-rival to Scorpion. This specific Pop! figure was released as part of the Funko Pop! Games line, aiming to capture the character's modern aesthetic through the simplified, stylized proportions characteristic of the brand.

The design of this figure leans into the iconic visual language established by the franchise, featuring the character's distinct masked appearance and detailed vestments. While Funko frequently updates the Mortal Kombat roster to reflect various iterations of the fighters, this particular release serves as a bridge for collectors interested in the long-running series of gaming-themed collectibles. Like many entries in the Games line, it was designed to appeal to both long-time fans of the fighting games and those who appreciate the aesthetic cohesion of the broader Funko vinyl range.
