Where it came from
Released in 2018 to coincide with the cinematic debut of Avengers: Infinity War, this figure represents the central antagonist of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's third phase. Funko designed the piece to capture Thanos in his iconic armored look, distinct from the versions seen in earlier films, reflecting his elevated role as he seeks to collect the Infinity Stones. It serves as a visual touchstone for the overarching narrative arc that concluded the Infinity Saga.
The figure follows the signature Funko aesthetic, featuring the brand's trademark oversized head and minimalist styling, scaled here to emphasize the character's formidable presence. As part of the Marvel Pop line, it was produced to meet intense consumer interest in the film's merchandise, quickly becoming a staple in many Marvel collections due to the high profile of the character during the theatrical run of the movie.
