Where it came from
The Brain Funko Pop! figure was released as part of the Pop! Animation line, capturing the iconic antagonist from the 1990s animated series Pinky and the Brain. Created by Tom Ruegger and produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, the show centered on two laboratory mice with fluctuating intelligence levels. The figure honors the character's distinct design, featuring his signature oversized cranium and stoic expression, which were originally conceptualized to reflect his megalomaniacal personality and constant quest for world domination.
Funko’s design team utilized their standard stylized aesthetic to translate the 2D animation style into a 3.75-inch vinyl format. By simplifying the sharp, angular lines of the original character art while retaining the essential details like his furrowed brow and white fur color palette, the designers created a recognizable piece that resonated with fans of the Warner Bros. Animation era. Since its debut, the figure has been received as a nostalgic collectible, often sought by those who grew up watching the original series during its prime broadcast years.
