The Blue Spirit [Chase GITD] (Special Edition)

The Blue Spirit Funko Pop, numbered 1002 within the Animation series, was released to celebrate the character Zuko's iconic vigilante persona from the acclaimed animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. The figure depicts Zuko in his distinctive blue-painted porcelain mask and dark garb, an outfit he donned to infiltrate the Fire Nation and rescue the Avatar from Zhao. This particular Chase variant features a glow-in-the-dark finish on the mask, a design choice intended to mimic the eerie, spectral appearance of the character during his nocturnal missions.

Designed by the Funko creative team, the figure adheres to the company’s signature stylized aesthetic, prioritizing simplified geometric features while capturing the essence of the character’s dual-blade combat style. The piece was released as part of a wider expansion of the Avatar: The Last Airbender line, which aimed to catalog the series' expansive cast of heroes and antagonists. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by collectors who noted the attention to detail on the intricate mask molding and the effective application of the glow-in-the-dark pigment.
