Where it came from
The Raptor Pop! figure, released as part of the NBA Mascots series by Funko, captures the iconic mascot of the Toronto Raptors. Introduced to the NBA in 1995 alongside the team's debut, the character was designed to embody the excitement of the Jurassic Park-inspired branding that defined the franchise's identity during the mid-1990s.
Funko’s design team leaned into the mascot's signature look, featuring the character's distinct purple and red jersey and basketball-themed accessories. Released as number 7 in the line, the figure was met with enthusiasm by Toronto fans, serving as a nostalgic nod to one of the most recognizable and energetic mascots in professional basketball history.
