Where it came from
The Will, designated as number 10 in the Pop! Comics line, was produced by Funko to represent the bounty hunter character from the acclaimed sci-fi comic series Saga, created by writer Brian K. Vaughan and artist Fiona Staples. Released as part of an initial wave of Saga figures, the design aims to capture the character's signature look, including his distinctive suit, prosthetic wings, and his prominent scar, mirroring Staples’ original character illustrations that emphasize a rugged, mercenary aesthetic.
The figure serves as a nod to the growing influence of Image Comics' indie titles within the broader pop culture market. Upon its release, it was well-received by fans of the series, who appreciated Funko's attention to detail in translating Staples’ stylized artwork into the brand's iconic, simplified aesthetic. The figure occupies a specific place in the Saga collection, acting as a centerpiece for those documenting the early character arcs of the series.
