Where it came from
The Witch, numbered 599 in the Funko Pop! Disney series, was released as part of the broader expansion of the Nightmare Before Christmas collection. This line was designed to capture the distinct, stop-motion aesthetic of the 1993 Tim Burton film, translating the stylized, elongated character designs into Funko's signature vinyl form factor.
The character design reflects the specific artistic vision of character designer Rick Heinrichs, who worked closely with Tim Burton to create the inhabitants of Halloween Town. The figure was produced to cater to the enduring cult popularity of the film, which has maintained a significant merchandise presence since the late 1990s. It was well-received by collectors who prioritize completing the expansive set of secondary characters from the movie.
