Where it came from
Tokka was released as part of the Funko Pop! Movies line, specifically designated as figure number 1139. This figure captures the mutant snapping turtle character introduced in the 1991 film 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.' The character was created to serve as a henchman for Shredder, serving as a cinematic replacement for the character Bebop, and is remembered by fans for its distinctively aggressive yet dim-witted personality and its role in the live-action franchise.
The design of the figure reflects Funko's signature aesthetic, featuring the stylized oversized head and simplified bodily features that characterize the Pop! line. The sculpt incorporates the specific textured details of Tokka’s shell and his weaponized spiked bracers, maintaining consistency with the creature design work by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Upon release, the figure was well-received by collectors of 90s nostalgia and those assembling comprehensive TMNT character sets.
