Where it came from
Tsubaki Nakatsukasa is a central character from the dark fantasy anime and manga series Soul Eater, created by Atsushi Ohkubo. In the narrative, Tsubaki is a 'demon weapon' capable of transforming into various ninja tools, serving as the partner to Black Star. This Funko Pop! figure was released as part of the Animation line, specifically designed to capture her appearance during the series' run, which began in the mid-2000s under the production of Bones Inc.
The figure reflects Funko's signature stylized aesthetic, featuring the oversized head and simplified facial features characteristic of the Pop! vinyl range. Designers aimed to translate Tsubaki's distinct character design into a compact form, highlighting her traditional Japanese-inspired attire and signature dark hair. Upon its release, the figure was welcomed by Soul Eater fans as a long-awaited addition to the series' limited representation within the Funko catalog.
