Where it came from
Vampire Jack, numbered 598 in the Pop! Disney line, was released to celebrate the enduring popularity of Tim Burton's 1993 stop-motion classic, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Produced by Funko, this figure captures the protagonist, Jack Skellington, in his temporary guise as a vampire, a design inspired by the character's attempt to lead the citizens of Halloween Town in their Christmas efforts. It serves as part of a recurring series of character variants that Funko releases annually to coincide with the film's seasonal prominence.
The design of this specific figure reflects Funko's signature aesthetic, characterized by large, stylized proportions and a simplified, monochromatic palette that emphasizes Jack's skeletal features. By incorporating glow-in-the-dark elements, the designers aimed to provide a playful nod to the supernatural and eerie motifs central to the film. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the franchise and collectors of vinyl pop culture figures, who often seek out these thematic variants as central additions to their displays.
