Where it came from
Vampire Jack, numbered 598 in the Funko Pop! Disney series, was released to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the 1993 stop-motion film The Nightmare Before Christmas. The figure depicts the film's protagonist, Jack Skellington, in his vampire disguise from the 'Making Christmas' sequence. This metallic variant was produced as a specialty store exclusive, designed to capture the glimmer of the character's suit and cape as they appear under the stylized lighting of the Tim Burton production.
Funko’s design approach for the Pop! line emphasizes large, simplified heads and small, compact bodies to create a unified aesthetic across disparate pop-culture properties. The metallic finish was applied to this specific iteration to distinguish it from the standard release, catering to collectors who prize visual texture and exclusivity. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by fans of the film's gothic aesthetic, quickly becoming a staple for those curating Halloween-themed displays.
