Where it came from
Weiss Schnee #587 was released by Funko as part of the Pop! Animation line, representing the heiress of the Schnee Dust Company from the web series RWBY, created by Monty Oum for Rooster Teeth. The figure reflects Weiss's appearance in the early volumes of the show, capturing her signature white outfit, combat heels, and the distinctive rapier Myrtenaster. It was developed during a period when Funko was aggressively expanding its licensing to include influential digital-first animation series.
The design process for this Pop! figure focused on distilling Weiss's complex, elegant character model into the stylized, minimalist proportions characteristic of the brand. Designers emphasized her color palette and recognizable silhouette to appeal to the dedicated RWBY fandom. Upon release, the figure was well-received by collectors who appreciated the faithful translation of her anime-inspired aesthetic into the vinyl form, solidifying its place as a staple piece for fans of the franchise.
