Where it came from
Released in 2018, this figure represents Ruby Rose, the central protagonist of the Rooster Teeth animated web series RWBY. Produced by Funko as part of the Pop! Animation line, this specific variant features the character wearing her iconic red hooded cape, a design element central to her identity as a huntress-in-training inspired by Little Red Riding Hood.
The figure was released as a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive, a common strategy for Funko to highlight fan-favorite characters within niche or cult-following franchises. Like much of the Pop! design language, the piece retains the trademark oversized head and minimalist features, aiming to translate the sharp, anime-inspired aesthetic of the show into the stylized, collectable format that defined the company's growth during that era.
