Xi

The Xi figure is part of the Pop! Asia series, a line developed by Funko to broaden its international appeal by highlighting cultural icons and traditional motifs. Released as part of the Lion Dance Club collection, the design draws inspiration from the intricate and energetic aesthetics of the traditional Chinese lion dance, an essential performance in Lunar New Year celebrations and various festive events across East Asia.

The design emphasizes the stylized, exaggerated features characteristic of the Funko Pop aesthetic, blending them with the vibrant colors and patterned detailing typical of lion dance costumes. While the specific designer behind the sculpting remains largely uncredited as per Funko's internal studio processes, the item was intended to serve as a collectible celebration of heritage and regional folklore, finding a niche audience among both contemporary toy collectors and enthusiasts of traditional cultural imagery.
