Yoda (Blue Chrome) [Celebration]

The Yoda (Blue Chrome) Pop! figure was released as a limited-edition exclusive for Star Wars Celebration in 2017. As part of the broader Star Wars Pop! line by Funko, this variant was created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original 1977 film. The choice of a metallic chrome finish reflects a shift in Funko's strategy during this era, moving from standard matte vinyl designs to premium-style finishes intended to appeal specifically to convention-going completists and high-end collectors.

The design adapts the iconic mold of the original Yoda Pop! figure, retaining the character's familiar pose and robe details while applying a uniform, high-gloss blue metallic sheen. This aesthetic choice aligns with the 'Chrome' sub-series often reserved for special promotional events. Upon its release, the figure was met with significant interest within the hobbyist community, serving as a distinct departure from the character's traditional color palette while maintaining the recognizable silhouette that has defined the Funko Star Wars collection since its inception.
