Where it came from
The Ambush on Mandalore Battle Pack, set number 75373, was released by the LEGO Group in 2024 as part of the Star Wars theme. It was designed to recreate the pivotal confrontation from the third season of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, specifically focusing on the conflict between the Mandalorian Nite Owls and the Imperial Remnant forces. The set serves as a compact, play-focused entry point for fans of the show, prioritizing the inclusion of highly detailed minifigures over large-scale buildable structures.
The design of this set highlights the aesthetic transition of Mandalorian armor within the series, featuring updated printing and specialized helmets for figures like Koska Reeves and the Mandalorian Nite Owl. By including a small, rocky terrain build equipped with stud-shooting play features, the designers aimed to provide a thematic backdrop for display or active play. Upon its release, it was received as a functional addition to the Star Wars lineup, particularly noted by collectors for its efficient collection of desirable minifigures representing the resurgence of Mandalore.
