Where it came from
The LEGO Star Wars Armored Assault Tank (AAT), set 75283, was released in 2020 as part of the theme's ongoing representation of the Clone Wars era. It was designed to coincide with the final season of the animated series, specifically recreating the battle scenes from the Siege of Mandalore. The set features a updated, more streamlined design compared to previous iterations, aiming for a balance between playability and screen-accurate proportions for the Trade Federation vehicle.
The inclusion of the Ahsoka Tano and Ahsoka's Clone Trooper minifigures made this set a significant release for collectors. While the tank itself serves as a staple of the Separatist droid army, the design focus on this particular release was heavily influenced by the popularity of the 332nd Company troopers and the character arc of Ahsoka Tano during the show's conclusion. It was generally well-received by fans for providing highly desirable minifigures within a relatively accessible price point.
