Where it came from
Released in 2017 as part of the Lego City Police subtheme, the Auto Transport Heist set 60143-1 depicts a high-speed pursuit between a transport truck and a criminal getaway vehicle. The set was designed to enhance the playability of the City line by incorporating interactive elements such as a functional ramp on the transport truck and a detachable police motorcycle, reflecting Lego’s ongoing focus on creating dynamic narratives for children aged 6 to 12.
The design prioritizes play-pattern versatility, utilizing a color palette characteristic of the City Police series, dominated by white, blue, and black bricks. The set was received by the community as a quintessential mid-sized play set, valued for its inclusion of four distinct minifigures—two police officers and two criminals—which provided a balanced scope for role-playing typical urban crime-fighting scenarios.
