Where it came from
The Best Friends set, cataloged as 6024305-1, was released as a promotional item within the LEGO Friends theme. Introduced during the initial years of the Friends line, which launched in 2012 to offer a more character-driven, narrative-focused building experience, this small set served to introduce new collectors to the updated color palette and specialized minidoll figures that define the series.
The design follows the aesthetic standards of the Friends theme, emphasizing pastel tones and modular accessories intended to encourage imaginative roleplay. By focusing on core character dynamics, the set was received as an accessible entry point for younger builders and those interested in the specific aesthetic shift LEGO pursued to broaden its appeal to a wider demographic of children.
