Where it came from
Boun's Boat, part of the Lego Disney set 43185, was released in 2021 as a tie-in to the animated film Raya and the Last Dragon. The set depicts the colorful, eclectic shrimping boat operated by the character Boun, a young entrepreneur from the film, designed to capture the unique architectural and cultural influences of Southeast Asia that defined the movie's aesthetic.
The design team focused on incorporating the boat's modular, makeshift appearance, featuring a vibrant canopy and a small dock area that reflects the aquatic lifestyle of the film's setting. The set was released to provide a play-centric representation of the film's secondary characters and is noted by collectors for its inclusion of unique molded shrimp figures and detailed character minifigures.
