Where it came from
BrickJournal, founded and edited by Joe Meno, emerged as a specialized periodical dedicated to the adult fan of LEGO (AFOL) community. Issue 24, released in the early 2010s, fits into the magazine’s broader mission of bridging the gap between hobbyist building techniques and professional design work. It served as a documented archive of the creative ingenuity within the builder community during a period of significant growth for LEGO-related fandom.
The issue features a focus on specific building aesthetics and community-driven projects, maintaining the publication’s signature clean, informative layout designed to showcase complex MOCs (My Own Creations). Contributors often include industry experts and master builders who provide technical walkthroughs, reflecting the magazine’s intent to act as a bridge between official product design and the experimental, unrestrained nature of fan-led construction.
